The prize was presented to the hotel representative by the Head of the FIE Regional Center, Boukary KABORE, on behalf of the Director General of the Fund.
The award, called the "Special Green Hotel Award", rewards the tourism company that stands out through the use and implementation of sustainable consumption methods and modes and the consideration of environmental protection and preservation in its actions.
The 7th edition of the PNET is held under the theme: "Competitiveness of tourism businesses and promotion of the Burkina Faso destination." In his speech, the Minister of Culture emphasized that the 7th edition of the National Tourism Entrepreneur Award is being held in a context marked by the security crisis. To this end, he congratulated all the stakeholders in the tourism value chain who have been able to develop resilience actions for the survival of the sector. " We are convinced of the need to refocus our offers on the national and sub-regional markets. We must, in fact, design tourism products adapted to the needs of local and regional customers. These markets, long neglected by stakeholders, now appear as a salutary alternative in the face of the vagaries of the international situation ," he emphasized.
Minister OUEDRAOGO also praised the commitment of men and women to tourism, ensuring that the National Tourism Entrepreneur Award has established itself as a showcase for stakeholders. Indeed, he noted that since its creation in 2019, the National Tourism Entrepreneur Award has received 1,600 applications, of which around 100 have been honored.
This 7th edition of PNET saw the participation of 161 companies and resulted in 23 trophies, including ten (10) official prizes, eight (8) special prizes and five (5) honorary trophies.
The Minister in charge of Culture has invited the stakeholders to the 8th edition of PNET, from October 22 to 23, 2026, in Koudougou, capital of the Nando region.
