MODI DIALLO AT THE helm
Modi DIALLO, Inspector of Water and Forests, registration number 42 848 H, is now the Head of the Northern Regional Branch of the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE). Appointed on August 14, 2024, he was installed in his functions, by the Director General of the FIE, Delwendé Davy NANEMA, this Friday, October 4, 2024, in Ouahigouya.
Mr. DIALLO thus succeeds Wendelasida Guillaume KABRE, Principal Inspector of Water and Forests, registration number 47 796 L, previously Head of the Northern Regional Branch of the FIE who now serves as Head of the Central-West Regional Branch, since September 27, 2024, when he was installed. The handover ceremony took place in a good-natured atmosphere, marked by renewed commitments from the two promoted officers to do better than in the past, for the influence of the FIE.
The outgoing Head of Antenna, Wendelasida Guillaume KABRE, thanked his former colleagues for the good times spent together and wished every success to the new Head of Antenna of the Northern region. He expressed his availability to accompany Mr. DIALLO, for the success of his mission.
As for the new Head of the Northern Regional Branch, he expressed his gratitude to the authorities of the Ministry in charge of the Environment and to the Director General of the FIE, while congratulating his predecessor for the work accomplished.
The Director General of the FIE congratulated the outgoing Regional Branch Manager of the North for his contribution to achieving the FIE's objectives. He also congratulated the incoming one for his promotion while urging him to take initiatives so that when the time comes to take stock, the structure has taken another step towards a better tomorrow. Finally, Delwendé Davy NANEMA invited all FIE workers to join hands in the work for a better influence of the structure.
For the record, the FIE is a State Fund, created by Law No. 006-2013 /AN of April 2, 2013 on the Environmental Code and operationalized by Decree No. 2015-838 /PRES-TRANS/PM/MEF/MERH on its creation, missions, organization and operation. The FIE is Burkina Faso's financial tool for achieving its environmental policy objectives. By creating the FIE, Burkina Faso is setting up the National Climate Fund provided for in international conventions.
The FIE has four (4) functional regional antennas. These are the Central Regional Antenna, based in Ouagadougou, the Western Regional Antenna, in Bobo-Dioulasso, the Northern Regional Antenna, in Ouahigouya and the Central-West Regional Antenna, in Koudougou.
