DR WENDINDA A. KABORE TALKS ABOUT IT WITH THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE FIE

The Director General (DG) of the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE), Delwendé Davy NANEMA, received in audience, on the evening of Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Ouagadougou, Dr. Wendinda A. KABORE. At the heart of the discussions, the issue of the revaluation of tires and plastic waste. Indeed, Dr. KABORE is an actor who is involved in the field.

Thus, he came to pay a courtesy visit to the DG of the FIE in order to examine, together, avenues of collaboration. This, in particular in the field of training young people on the revaluation of tires and plastic waste. By coming to the FIE, Dr. KABORE did not come empty-handed. He brought products of his creative genius, as a gift to the DG of the FIE.

The head of the FIE praised the initiative and the approach of his visitor. He encouraged him in his project, because it contributes to the sanitation of our cities and the preservation of the Environment.

As a reminder, the FIE has just finalized the process of selecting promoters as part of its fourth call for projects relating to the fight against plastic waste, in particular on the sub-components " Collection, treatment and recovery of plastic waste " and "Alternative packaging to plastic". Seventeen (17) promoters were selected at the end of the process with funding from the State budget amounting to one billion twenty-five million eight hundred and ninety-seven thousand nine hundred (1,025,897,900) CFA francs.
