PROMOTERS FROM THE CENTRE, CENTRE-SOUTH, NORTH AND CENTRE-WEST REGIONS SELECTED UNDER CALL 4 OF THE FIE FIT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THEIR ACTIVITIES
Begun on February 3, 2025, the training organized by the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE) for the benefit of promoters selected under call for projects 4 relating to the fight against plastic waste ended this Friday, February 7, 2025 in Ouagadougou.
For five days, promoters from the Centre, Centre-South, North and Centre-West regions saw their capacity strengthened on the FIE project management manual. They were given the same level of information on the technical and financial management procedures of projects; the FIE management tools (the reporting framework, etc.); the role of the FIE promoter in the implementation of projects.
The participants, namely twenty (20) people representing twelve (12) promoters, received explanations on the general mechanisms of the FIE applicable to project promoters; the main stages of the implementation cycle of a project financed by the FIE; the obligations and procedures to be respected in terms of financial and technical management and the modalities, tools and reporting models.
The training session provided an opportunity to share information on environmental and social performance standards, the grievance management mechanism and the FIE gender policy with promoters who were invited to take them into account in the deployment of projects.
This training comes after the one of the same kind, organized in Bobo-Dioulasso, from January 20 to 24, 2025 and which concerned the promoters of the Cascades and Hauts Bassins regions. Thus, with this training, the 17 promoters selected under call 4 of the FIE were all trained for a good implementation of their project.
