Specifically, this will involve analyzing the sources of endogenous financing currently available in environmental matters; analyzing the potential sources of endogenous financing in environmental matters in order to develop a strategy for mobilizing endogenous resources in environmental matters, accompanied by an action plan.

The document will be developed by an ad hoc committee set up for this purpose. It is composed of experts from the ministries responsible for the Environment, Finance, Trade, Mines and non-state actors such as representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso; the Association of Municipalities of Burkina Faso (AMBF) and the Permanent Secretariat of Non-Governmental Organizations (SPONG).

The methodological approach adopted for the development of the strategy for mobilizing endogenous resources in environmental matters includes four (04) major stages, namely: the first stage ( preparatory stage); the second stage (data collection and processing); the third stage (diagnostic phase) and the fourth stage (development, validation and finalization of the draft strategic plan (with a programmatic framework).

According to the provisional schedule for the progress of the work, the document should be available before the end of December 2024. This is why the Director General of the FIE, Delwendé Davy NANEMA, in his opening speech, urged the stakeholders to participate in the work, assiduously, in order to produce a quality document expected to support environmental actions in Burkina Faso.
