FIE AND LOCAL FINANCIAL EXPERTS SYNTHESIZE DIFFICULTIES FOR BETTER IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTIVITIES
The Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE) and local financial experts (EFL) of the municipalities benefiting from the activities of the Integrated Municipal Development Projects for REDD+ (PDIC/REDD+) are examining the results of the activities for the third quarter of the year, on October 29 and 30, 2024 in Koudougou.
The first day of work was devoted to the presentation of activity reports by each EFL. Thus, one by one, the EFLs presented the activities implemented for the third quarter of 2024 while taking stock of the difficulties.
For this second day of work, October 30, 2024, the participants will continue discussions to share their experiences, formulate recommendations and summarize the difficulties encountered in the field.
Among other difficulties identified, there is the non-compliance with procurement procedures by actors on the ground; the non-compliance with the price list; the difficulty of managing deductions; the poor expression of needs by beneficiaries, etc.
The project was presented to the new EFLs of the eight new municipalities, followed by the presentation of the agreements for the signing of the agreements between the FIE and these EFLs.
At the end of the meeting, the representative of the Director General of the FIE, the Head of the Regional Branch of the Center, Mr. Boukary KABORE, thanked the EFL for their active participation in the work, all of which made it possible to identify difficulties and formulate recommendations for better implementation of the activities. remaining from the 2024 financial year .
