The Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE) is organizing, from December 3 to 6, 2024 in Ouagadougou, a training session on budget development techniques for its executives involved in the development of the Annual Work and Budgeting Plan (PTAB).

The Director of Human Resources, Nogodo SIMPORE, representing the Director General of FIE, noted that this activity aims to enable the proper execution and rational implementation of activities for better performance of the structure. According to him, this capacity building session for FIE executives will enable them to properly develop planning tools. The Director of Human Resources urged participants to take an active part in the training so that the results are felt in the quality of the FIE's 2025 budget.

Specifically, the training will enable participants to master the concepts and principles of good public finance management; strengthen practices of budget preparation, planning, programming and execution; master the principles of developing budget programming; and acquire the approach and master the tools for developing program budgets.

The training will take place in two (2) main concomitant phases, namely, a theoretical phase which will focus on budget preparation and programming, program budgeting, execution and results-based budget monitoring.

The practical phase will be interactive and dedicated to the concrete application of budget preparation. The final objective is that this activity will allow to recall the texts and the rules of their application, but also to prepare the budget for the year 2025.

This training, which is intended to be more practical, will be provided by two experienced financial services administrators, namely Prosper Marie KY and Hamidou MOYENGA, who have expertise in developing the program budget.
