THE PROMOTER DISCUSSES WITH THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE FIE
The Director General of the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE), Delwendé Davy NANEMA had a working session this Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in Ouagadougou with the Director of the Afrobeat International Festival, Jean-Marie NABI.
Accompanied by his colleagues, Mr. NABI came to share the project of the 13th edition of the International Afrobeat Festival, scheduled from April 24 to 27, 2025, with the Director General of the FIE. According to Mr. NABI, the 2025 edition of the festival will be structured around the theme: “ In Motion ” to symbolize a major turning point in its commitment to promoting youth and artistic innovation.
According to the festival promoter, issues related to sustainable development (environment and culture serving a better living environment) are a priority in their actions. Thus, " already in place for several years, Afrobeat defends its vision of sustainable development for the Tampouy district through the sanitation and reforestation of streets as well as the manufacture of ecological trash cans ."
The festival director says that the event aims to extend its activities while focusing on awareness-raising, making the inhabitants of Tampouy the main actors in their development. " We want to put civic action at the heart of our actions in order to build, together, a more sustainable living environment and well-being for everyone ," the promoter emphasizes.
The Director General of the FIE welcomed the initiative and encouraged the festival promoters to continue their momentum, because they are doing useful work. He promised to study the file and to see to what extent the FIE could support the Afrobeat International festival.
