END OF REVIEW OF FIDUCIARY AND GOVERNANCE DOCUMENTS
The validation meeting of the fiduciary and governance documents drawn up within the framework of the accreditation of the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE) to the Adaptation Fund (FA) ended this Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Ouagadougou.
The participants, namely the FIE executives and the experts from the Ecological Monitoring Center (CSE) of Senegal, reviewed the six (6) draft documents prepared by the firms, while making amendments to them, with a view to perfecting them.
Thus, the anti-fraud and anti-money laundering policies and the fight against terrorism (by integrating the operational system and a reporting mechanism in the event of fraud) were validated subject to the consideration of the amendments. As for the procurement manual, it was validated and will be translated into English for the rest of the process.
With regard to the project cycle management manual, the grievance and complaints management manual and the monitoring and evaluation manual, the firm that developed them was invited to take the observations and amendments made into account in order to finalize them for validation, before the end of February 2025.
The objective being that once all the documents have been validated, the FIE file will be resubmitted to the Adaptation Fund for accreditation in March 2025.
At the end of the meeting, Dr DIAGNE, Advisor to the CEO of the CSE, while inviting the firms to complete the documents, indicated that it was a pleasure for his structure to support the FIE in its accreditation process.
The Director General of the FIE, Delwendé Davy NANEMA, expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved. He thanked everyone for their contribution to improving the documents. For him, the development of these documents will contribute to improving the FIE's brand image and better repositioning it on the international stage with a view to mobilizing more climate finance for the benefit of Burkina Faso.
