note1

The Director General of the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE), Mr. Delwendé Davy NANEMA and his colleagues had a working session with a GIZ delegation, composed of Mrs. Pauline ZABA épouse YAMEOGO and Mr. Ousmane DJIBO, on the evening of Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in Ouagadougou.

Mr. DJIBO stressed that this is a meeting to make contact with the FIE team in order to discuss a concept note on climate currently being developed. The document must be finalized before the end of May 2025 in order to be submitted to the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The idea is to request the support of the FIE in the process.

During the discussions, the GIZ delegation sought to gain a better understanding of the FIE, its organisation, its operation and its experiences in the implementation of projects and the financial support of structures.

The Director General of the FIE, Delwendé Davy NANEMA, welcomed the initiative of the GIZ and thanked it for choosing the FIE. He noted the FIE's willingness to work hand in hand with the GIZ to finalize the concept note and submit it to the FVC.

note2

Mr. NANEMA gave a presentation of the FIE to his guests, reviewing the calls for projects implemented (4) and the experiences in terms of fiduciary facilitation already conducted.

The two parties decided to meet again soon for in-depth work on the GIZ project in the pipeline.

The working session ended with a visit by the GIZ delegation to the grove in district No. 6, developed by the FIE in collaboration with the district.
