The Ministry of Environment, Water and Sanitation celebrated its most deserving agents for the year 2024, this afternoon, December 18, in Ouagadougou.
In total, ninety-one (91) agents were decorated on the evening of Wednesday, December 18, 2024, namely eleven (11) in the Order of the Stallion, 19 in the Burkinabe Order of Merit and 61 in the specific Orders of the environment and water.
Among the 91 workers celebrated for their dedication to work, the merits of two (2) agents of the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE) were recognized. They are Mr. Abdoulaye OUEDRAOGO, Director of Operations (DO) and Mr. Manegdo Mamady OUEDRAOGO, head of department at the Directorate of Research and Financing (DRF). They were made Knight of the Order of Merit for Rural Development with Environmental Clasp.
The Minister of Environment, Water and Sanitation, Mr. Roger BARO, who presided over the decoration ceremony, praised the dedication, professionalism, and rigor in the work of the recipients. He stressed that this tribute paid to them is an invitation to keep the flame of their commitment alight, to be sources of inspiration for other workers in the department, but also to be role models for young people.
Minister BARO took the opportunity to salute the contribution of his colleagues to the protection of the environment and the fight against insecurity.
