STAFF REVIEWS YEAR-TO-DATE ACTIVITY RESULTS

The staff of the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE) held the second session of its general assembly (GA) of the year, this Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Ouagadougou.

Chaired by the Director General of the FIE, Delwendé Davy NANEMA, this meeting of all the Fund's agents was a framework for discussing concerns related to the execution of the structure's missions and for discussing several subjects relating to the life of the management.

The session began with the presentation and amendment of the minutes of the first session of the FIE General Meeting held in July 2024. The floor was then given to the various directors who briefly took stock of their activities as well as the difficulties encountered during their execution.

The general assembly also allowed to present the statute and internal regulations of the FIE to the staff. The director of human resources (DRH), Nogodo SIMPORE communicated, among other things, on the type of staff employed at the FIE, the recruitment method, the levels and qualifications required for recruitment, the rights and obligations of the staff.

In terms of obligation, the HRD returned to assiduity at work, personal execution of tasks, respect for authority, professional secrecy (reserve and confidentiality), dignity and courtesy. He also lifted the veil on the categories of faults and sanctions that an FIE agent incurs.

Financing Research , Donald ZOMA, made a presentation of the FIE's policy to combat corruption, money laundering and the financing of terrorism. He defined the concepts of fraud, corruption and money laundering, before emphasizing that the FIE grants zero tolerance to these practices in the implementation of its activities.

Finally, the communicator noted that the FIE's policy to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism (LBC/FT), like other policies of the same kind, aims to be an instrument for preventing financial crime practices, corruption, fraudulent and illegal activities and preventing the risks of financing terrorism through FIE resources.

In order to provide sufficient information to the staff on the activities of the FIE, the director of monitoring and evaluation, Jean Philippe OUEDRAOGO, made a communication on the Annual Work Plan and Budget (PTAB) 2025. This made it possible to review the programmed activities and priorities of the FIE in 2025.

The next communication which focused on the environmental and social policy of the FIE as well as its complaint mechanism was delivered by the Head of the Regional Antenna of the Center, Boukary KABORE. He emphasized that the environmental and social policy of the FIE is aimed at internal actors, as well as at the partners of the Fund. Regarding the complaint mechanism, Mr. KABORE explained the procedure for filing a complaint with the FIE, how to handle the complaint and within what time frame.

Finally, the Director of Communication and Public Relations of the FIE, Ali TRAORE, presented the new logo and slogan of the FIE which has just been adopted by the Board of Directors of the Fund.

After the discussions and answers to the various questions on the life of the FIE, the Director General, Delwendé Davy NANEMA, invited the employees to change their way of working, by adopting a dynamic of anticipation and proactivity to meet the challenges facing the structure. In short, the Director General of the FIE invited all staff to be more committed in anticipation of better results.
